Saint James Lutheran School

A solid foundation
St. James Lutheran Church and School of Howard Lake is built on the rock – the foundation – of Jesus Christ.
“ The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2
We believe, teach, and practice that God, our heavenly Father, creat ed the world in six days and that He sustains it.
We believe, teach, and practice that God created Adam and Eve, the first humans on this Earth and that He is the author of all life.
We believe, teach, and practice that marriage is the lifelong union of one man and one woman.
We believe, teach, and practice the sanctity of life and that no one is to take the life of another human. We believe that life begins at concep tion and that the taking of unborn life is murder, as is the euthanasia of any person.
We believe, teach, and practice that all humans are born sinful and that the only way to eternal life and heaven is through God’ s gift of faith and trust in Jesus Christ, who suffered, died, and rose again to save us from our sins.
We believe, teach, and practice that people have the responsibility to practice their faith in their everyday life and interactions as they love God and love others.
