If you ’ re on a budget , we have you covered there as well .
Hungry ? We have delicious eateries with great views of Howard Lake .
Finally , if you ’ re interested in hosting your next corporate function , wedding reception , or other event , our newlyrenovated Historic City Hall and South Shore Event Center is a beautiful space overlooking the lake and downtown with easy access to Highway 12 .
Of course , we hope you have more time to enjoy our events and festivities throughout the year .
Our award-winning Memorial Park , home of the Orphans baseball team , has weekly games and tournaments during the summer .
Howard Lake is a tournament level bass fishing lake . If you ’ re not a fishing person , cool off at our newly-renovated , handicap-accessible swimming beach .
Howard Lake plays host to more than 70,000 people annually for the Wright County Fair in late July . Be sure to
grab some cheese curds .
Looking for a great school system in which to raise your children ? Howard Lake is home of the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers and features a Blue Ribbon elementary school , great teachers , and state-of-the-art facilities .
If you are interested in promoting and incorporating faith into your child ’ s curriculum , we also are home to St . James Lutheran School . Small class sizes and dedicated teachers await you and your family .
