The strongest argument should come first
Starting with the most convincing reason you are right, and moving down to the less important reasons, is the best way to begin an opinion essay. Because if they aren't convinced by the first argument, the rest of the argument will not work. The good stuff doesn't like to wait.
Make sure that your voice is active
Passive-voice constructions are common in academic writing. This isn't as problematic for a research paper as it is for an opinion essay. You own this opinion, so speak up and let us know how you feel.
You shouldn't be afraid of expressing your emotions
As opposed to a research paper, an opinion essay involves emotions as well as facts and evidence. Your perspective should be logically correct, but you should also emotionally appeal to the reader.

Overview
You need to clearly state your opinion and present the subject in the introductory paragraph. You need to include a thesis statement - a sentence that summarizes what your paper is about.
You can start your essay with several techniques, including:
Directly address the reader.
Use a quote, direct speech, or a sentence from the text.
Make your point with a rhetorical question.
Body of the essay
A thesis statement needs to be supported by the body of your essay. Provide reasons for several points of view in your paragraphs. Whenever you start a paragraph, state the main idea you plan to support with evidence. Your current paragraph is long, so make sure you don't begin another. A new paragraph should only be started when discussing a new idea.
Keep the following in mind when writing:
Tense - in this type of essay, you should generally use the present tense.
Do not use colloquial expressions or idioms.
Use only punctuation that conforms to formal rules - no exclamation points, parentheses, or contractions.
In the event of citation, use the correct citation style.
