There are also certain perpetuating factors to take into account. If a person is in the midst of a crisis, these
things may prevent him or her from getting assistance.

Overly controlled, rigid personality
Overachiever
Poor communication skills

Drug/alcohol abuse or addiction or gambling addiction

Change in eating or sleeping habits
An inability to enjoy anything
