7. Positive Affirmations
7.1 The importance of positive affirmations
Negative thoughts often lead to feelings of anxiety, depression and
an unhealthy state of mind. Practicing positive affirmations
regularly tells your subconscious mind that you have the power to do
what you need to do and make improvements to your life where it is
needed.
Positive affirmations can have a direct affect on your energy level
and overall well-being. When you focus on the positive, you give
your mind and body a chance to feel energized, vibrant and focused.
This state of mind makes it easier for you to build on your strengths
and skills, let go of resentments or anger, and continue on your
journey with less stress.
7.2 Some words are better than others.
It is important to find a combination of good words with a strong
image. By putting the image-word message up at a place where you
will regularly see it, the message that you are sending out to yourself
will have an impact on you.
To reinforce the impact, it is good to read the words consciously
several times per day and to commit to their meaning for you!
Remember what Aristotle said: "You are what you repeatedly do.
Excellence is not an event -- it is a habit."
