Adulthood can be quite scary, but first we need to understand what does it mean. We can define Adulthood as the period in the human lifespan in which full physical and intellectual maturity have been attained. Growing up in the late 1970's early 1980's, meant that you were done with your education and had settled into a job; you'd found a mate and were married and so on. Nowadays, adulthood has become more subjective, it has become more of a feeling and not a thing.

"Growing up happens in a heartbeat."

Now, growing up has nothing to the with the age but with the skills development and the maturity a person achieves, it's about Emotional Maturity. Adulthood is continuously striving for self improvement. It's hard and frightening living up to the expectations of being an adult, but at the end of the day it's part of life. That's why it is important to take a moment and analyze what being an adult means to us. Do we want to follow standards? Do we want to explore and just ‘enjoy the ride’? Once we get the answer everything will fall into place and life will get a bit easier and happier. We will keep growing anyways, it's just a matter of time.
