JAGUARS SUPPORT NFL INITIATIVE TO FIGHT CANCER
For the 10th year, the National Football
League and the American Cancer Society are
working together to support the fi ght against
cancer through “Crucial Catch: Intercept
Cancer.” The Jaguars will recognize the
Crucial Catch initiative during their Week 7
game versus the Texans. Fans at TIAA Bank
Field will see the offi cial multi-colored logo on
helmet decals, cleats, towels, sideline caps
and other equipment. Also important is the
work the team is doing off the fi eld to invest in
a cure and celebrate cancer survivors.
The Jaguars Foundation has made cancer
awareness a pillar of its outreach efforts.
The Jaguars are proud supporters of
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center’s
new downtown Jacksonville facility, which
opened at the beginning of this season. It
provides a home for highly-coordinated,
multidisciplinary cancer care for adult
patients throughout northeast Florida. In
2016, Jaguars Owner Shad Khan made a $1
million gift to the project and, with matching
funds, it created a $2.25 million Jacksonville
