This year looks like it will be a successful time for the Independent Automobile Industry. Jeff Martin with TIADA and Kathrine Tolsch, President of TIADA, came to Houston on January 10th to discuss four topics that were presented on Lobby Day, Jan 30th in Austin. The number one issue that was discussed dealt with "named driver only" policies, a major problem in the buy here pay here industry. There were many auto dealers present at the meeting that fought for your rights to improve our industry, so be sure to thank them!
Also mark your calendar for Feb 21st 2017. HIADA will be hosting a service contract provider panel to discuss different products and benefits available along with ideas to improve your bottom line. There will be plenty of questions directed towards the panel about our dealer experiences and concerns. You will hear four perspectives on maximizing your profit, how to set up your own in-house service contract company and the possible tax advantages that are available.
