After four years serving his country in the United States Air Force, Lou Dienhart has worked his entire adult life in the automotive marketplace in a variety of positions gaining invaluable experience.

These positions have included Service Director in several large General Motors stores, ownership of a new start-up eight bay service center which included a full parts and tire department, sold as a very successful business after ten years, Regional Sales Manager for a national service contact company working with general agents and factory reps for Mazda, Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo and Ford Motor Company.

This culminated in joining a Texas agency and being given the opportunity to service Rate Genius resulting in a fourteen year relationship that has seen the account grow to over 3,200 refinance transactions per month as well as major growth in other areas.

Vehicle Protection Direct (VPD) is now the DBA for Vehicle Protection Services’ GAP division and has created five different Texas OCCC approved GAP waivers, one of which is designed for non-depository lenders and remains to this day the only such waiver approved by the OCCC.
