From the President
Dear Friends,
November brought us some exciting changes. The Board of Directors has made a significant decision by partnering with TIADA under a three-tier system. There will only be one annual fee of $499 which will include memberships for all three associations NIADA, TIADA and HIADA. Under the new partnership, TIADA members will be able to attend our monthly meetings plus they will be able to run their vehicles through HIADA designated auction lanes. Through increased membership, HIADA meetings will grow along with the auction lanes. I want to personally thank our co-chairmen John Freeman, Rudy Roubari, and Greg Zack, HIADA greatly appreciates their contribution to the auction lanes.
On November 14th, HIADA elected new officers for 2018. April Hanson of Coast to Coast Motors was nominated for the position as our secretary and Rob Edinfield of Mi Pueblo Auto Sales was promoted to Vice President of HIADA. Many thanks for joining our board.
Also on November 14th, HIADA held their monthly meeting with Bill Murphy of Collateral Protection Insurance and Charlotte Kirk of Texas DMV. Mr. Murphy spoke of expecting a major increase in auto insurance rates due to Hurricane Harvey and to the fact that insurance companies underestimated real dollar claims. Mrs. Kirk explained in detail their online service called Web Dealer, the system was created to electronically process title applications. This program will save time and money.
Congratulations go out to our new members, Jay Jackson with Jackson Direct Motors, and Steve Deluke with SGI Services. Thank you for joining our association. As the year starts to wind down and a new year fast approaching, I hope everyone has a great holiday season, and I look forward to serving you in 2018.
Sincerely,
Rick Maroney
