O n behalf of the Greater Houston Dental Society, it is my pleasure to welcome the entire dental team to the 48th annual Star of the South Dental Meeting. This meeting has been a part of my dental career from the begin- ning. Like many GHDS members, I real- ized early on that this is a great member benefit. I started by just attending, but soon I began volunteering in many differ- ent capacities and now I am the Chairman of this spectacular dental meeting. The meeting has evolved over the years in part due to the valued input of our atten- dees. We listened and as a result the meet- ing is now a two-day format on Thursday and Friday. Of course, every year we strive to bring the best speakers, many you have recommended. We have spent the past year planning another exceptional meeting providing quality continuing education to reenergize the entire dental team. We have courses for all aspects of dentistry includ- ing courses to meet Texas State Dental Board requirements for sleep apnea and opioid prescribing. The exhibit hall will be full of vendors showing the latest technology, their best products and equipment. Grab a bag of Join us at the Star of the South, at the George R.
