The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)
presented the Texas Academy of General
Dentistry (TAGD) with the national Constituent of the Year Award at the annual
AGD conference in Boston. The Constituent of the Year Award recognizes the
constituent who displays strength in each
area of constituent activity representing
governance and administration, continuing education, communication, membership and public information.
TAGD also accepted awards for their advocacy, communications, continuing education and public information programs.
TAGD President, Dr. James Bone, and the
Texas Delegates received these awards on
behalf of the organization.
Applications for the awards are accepted
from state constituents around the country
as well as Canada and require intensive
documentation to earn each award. TAGD
is proud that it has received the highest

years in a row.
“The Texas Academy of General Dentistry,
passionate in helping general dentists succeed, is again honored and excited to be

dental profession. To accomplish this goal,
each completed at least 1,100 hours of continuing dental education. Mastership

through continuing education. Fewer than
1% of general dentists in the entire nation
and only 2% in the State of Texas have
