Cambodia
Relatively a small country, Cambodia for some is only
visited to experience the world-famous temples of
Angkor, however the country offers more than meets
the eye.
The Khmers have been to hell and back, struggling
through years of poverty and bloodshed, most recently
from the notorious Khmer Rouge – but of late, the
country has risen to a destination which should be a
must visit on any Asia holiday plans.
The capital city of Phnom Penh, once known as the
‘Pearl of Asia’, offers travellers great sights and relaxing
river side dining whilst in Siem Reap, you’ll enjoy a
lovely village atmosphere showcasing Cambodian
art, culture and creation at the many boutiques.
Spend a few relaxed yet inspirational days exploring
the temples, taking in the nightlife and exploring the
communities on the great Tonle Sap Lake.
Regional Cambodia offers a world away from the rest
of the country, with rural Khmer life, remote jungles,
mountain ranges, rice paddies and a palm fringed
coastline. Emerging Sihanoukville and neighbouring
islands offer stunning beach breaks rounding off a
complete Cambodian experience.
Absorb the atmosphere in Cambodia – it’s truly
magical.
