Phu Quoc
PHU QUOC
Located in the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quoc Island is accessible by a 50 minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City.
Although, majority of Phu Quoc is dedicated to national park and protected marine environment, development is fast and furious for this island, not much smaller than the size of Singapore. With an easy going and relaxed atmosphere there are still plenty of areas where you can enjoy the experience of finding a remote beach lined with coconut trees and calm blue waters. Located on the west of the island, Truong Beach, aptly named Long Beach, is the main resort area and stretches for near 20km, enjoying easy access to the main town of Duong Dong. Blessed with a favourable natural setting, there are basic walking tracks through the national park however the true treasures are found hidden below the surface where a panorama bursts into a virtual array of colours and corals.
