Begin with a visit to the Oceanographic
Cycle to a fishing village by Bong Bridge
Board a private boat and cruise to the Tri
I nstitute, built by the French in the early 20th
century. View the huge humpback whale skeleton
found by a farmer digging in North Vietnam. Still
preserved in good condition, thousands of other
specimens chemically preserved for science
are viewable here. Next stop is Ponagar Cham
Towers, built around the 8th century. The Cham
built their towers and temples without cement
and to this day, the tower still stands strong.
The last stop is Chong Rocks Promontory, an
impressive arrangement of boulders.

drying fish on the river banks. Continue on to
Long Son Pagoda, with a white giant Buddha
statue on the hill top. Your next stop is the
Ponagar Cham Towers, a complex of temples

which has legend talks of giants and fairies. The
last stop is Thap Ba Hot Spring Centre to try a
mineral and mud spa. This is a wonderful place
