Day 1-2: New Orleans
You’ll love exploring New Orleans!
Day 3: New Orleans – Baton Rouge (130km)
You can visit one of the largest plantation homes in the South, Nottoway
Plantation and relive the fascinating history. Then hit Baton Rouge, the
capital of Louisiana, check out the cute downtown Main Street and then
take a free guided tour of the “New” State Capitol, which is the largest
state capitol building in the United States.
Day 4: Baton Rouge – Lafayette (93km)
Get your taste buds ready as Lafayette is the heart of the Cajun country
so you will be feasting on some amazing food as they have a bustling
culinary scene along with rich cultural heritage.
Day 5: Lafayette – Houma (164km)
Venture into Houma’s swamps and wetlands with exotic birds, brilliant
flora, raccoons and a wide assortment of reptiles, including of course
alligators. The historical downtown district of Houma has centuries-old
architecture.
Day 6: Houma – New Orleans (90km)
Head back to New Orleans via plantation country where you could see
Evergreen Plantation, Laura Plantation and Oak Alley just to name a few.
