Anaheim
Anaheim is one of those funny, rare places where
it’s almost impossible to keep from grinning
from dawn ‘til dusk. Discover the magic that
awaits. With two Disney Theme Parks – Disney
California Adventure Park and Disneyland
Park – and an energetic entertainment, dining
and shopping district, the Disneyland Resort
is one of the favourite holiday destinations on
the U.S. West Coast. For a taste of Americana,
be sure to take in a baseball or hockey game,
but be warned, even here the happiness is
infectious – where else but Anaheim could an
ice hockey team called the Mighty Ducks be
taken seriously!? If sports aren’t your thing, get
lost at the Outlet at Orange – a giant shopping
and entertainment complex that’s guaranteed
to keep that smile in place a little longer or
cruise out to Huntington, Newport and Laguna
Beaches for that Californian beach vibe.
Our favourite things to see and do
Shopping – Outlets at Orange, Mainplace at Anaheim and South Coast Plaza have
great shopping and entertainment for the whole family.
ART – Anaheim Resort Transit System allows you to get around and explore the
Anaheim Resort area – it will get you to the Disneyland Resort, Amtrak and the
Outlets at Orange Mall.
Rainforest Café – A thunder and lightning show, monkeys, lions and birds – this is
a unique dining experience in Downtown Disney District.
Angel Stadium – Grab a hot dog and popcorn and join the locals to watch a
baseball game.
Anaheim GardenWalk – There are a variety of stores and you can dine at some
favourites like Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., PF Changs and The Cheesecake Factory.
Interactive Dinner Experiences – At Medieval Times or Pirates Adventure.
With sword fights and duels and plenty of crowd interaction, head along to one of
these unique dining experiences kids of all ages are sure to love.
Catalina Island – Enjoy a day out, only an hour’s ferry ride away from Long Beach.
Explore the island by golf cart or foot. Try zip lining, rock climbing or take one of the
scenic tours on offer around the island.
Anaheim Packing District – For over 20 artisan eateries and live music, head to
the Anaheim Packing District, about a 10 minute drive north of the Disneyland Resort
and easily accessible by the ART.
Downtown Santa Ana – Jump on the ART shuttle and head to the emerging
centre for arts, farm-to-table restaurants and craft beer at downtown Santa Ana. Just
a 15 minute drive from the Anaheim Resort area.
