3 days / 2 nights Suggested Self-Drive
Day 1: Mornington – Frankston( 17km) First stop is Frankston, with its 10 kilometres of sweeping foreshore and a 17 kilometre art and cultural drive that takes in the McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park.
Day 2: Frankston – Portsea( 56km) Dromana, Rosebud and Rye have tranquil bays and are really popular holiday spots in the summer months. They also have some sophisticated wine bars if you need to take a break. There is plenty of wildlife to see around these parts too.
Portsea is famous for its luxury cliff-top residences, bathing boxes and hotel with expansive beach-side lawn. Take the Millionaire’ s Walk to Sorrento along cliff tops, through landscaped gardens and past private jetties for vantage points of the imposing mansions.
Day 3: Portsea – Tyabb( 52km) This part of the peninsula has secluded beaches, dramatic coastline and great wineries, not to mention its quiet hinterland with French and Phillip Islands just across the water. There are plenty of villages to call into: Balnarring, a good spot to stock up on local produce, tranquil Flinders, with its gourmet dining options along with cute shops and Tyabb, that has antique stores galore.

Arthur’ s Seat – Behind Dromana, this is the highest viewpoint on the peninsula with breath-taking views and lovely ornamental gardens. Make sure you head to the top with your camera.
Point Nepean – The tip of the Peninsula was closed to the public for more than 100 years. Now open, delve into a remarkable military history that dates back to the 1880s.
Port Philip Bay – Ever wanted to snorkel your way into the fascinating underwater world of Melbourne’ s Port Phillip Bay? Here there is plenty to see; seastars, starfish, sea urchins, pufferfish and of course the Weedy Sea Dragons in this beautiful area. Don’ t worry about carrying snorkel gear – you can hire it all.
Peninsula Hot Springs – Your journey to relaxation starts here. Peninsula Hot Springs is an experience that will restore balance and leave a lasting sense of calm and well-being.
Blue Range Estate Wines – Don’ t miss an opportunity to stop here. This Estate offers spectacular views over Phillip Bay and surrounding areas. So come along and enjoy a glass of wine and delicious gourmet tasting plates.
