Day 1-2 : Sydney – Jervis Bay – Narooma ( 350km ) Take the scenic Grand Pacific Drive to the coastal city of Wollongong , pass through beautiful Kiama and Gerroa before arriving in Jervis Bay . Jervis Bay is well known for its resident dolphins and amazing white sand beaches .
Day 3-4 : Narooma – Mallacoota – Metung ( 392km ) Visit Central Tilba with its array of arts and craft stores before travelling along the beach road to Mimosa Rocks National Park for a picnic and swim . Head to Cape Conran Coastal Park before you reach Lakes Entrance , a picturesque holiday town and fishing port .

Day 5-6 : Metung – Wilsons Promontory – Phillip Island ( 305km ) Head to Wilsons Promontory National Park , Australia ’ s southernmost point , famous for its wild beaches and mountain views . Cross the bridge to Phillip Island – don ’ t miss the daily dusk parade of little penguins as they parade up the beach .
Day 7-8 : Phillip Island – Mornington Peninsula – Melbourne ( 141km ) Make your way back across the bridge to Mornington Peninsula , where you wont be short of things to do . Great for coastal walks , or dine in excellent restaurants and taste the regional wines on offer at over 50 cellar doors . There are plenty of cute towns to explore on the peninsula as you make your way back to Melbourne , just over an hour away .

Phillip Island – Experience one of Australia ’ s most popular attractions . Each night at sunset you ’ ll be amazed by little penguins returning ashore after a day ’ s fishing . Witness this magical procession – it is a treat never forgotten .
