It’ s a land of extreme superlatives – the largest rainforest in the world, the second longest river on the planet and the richest place on earth for animal and plant life. Brazil, with its forests and mighty Amazon River with the phenomena they contain, it covers half of the South American continent. Two-thirds of Brazil’ s population live near the coast, meaning life really is a beach for locals and tourists alike.
People are the essence of the country, and while Brazil is home to a multitude of ethnic groups, there are some characteristics that everyone shares – fiery energy and passion! Watch a soccer game along with thousands of dancing, drumming and singing spectators; see why the beautiful game is almost a religion in Brazil. Although not all is reserved for football, Brazilians enjoy any good festivity, whatever the occasion. The most notable is Rio de Janeiro’ s Carnival, dubbed the largest party in the world.
The list of charms from Brazil continues, Brasilia is the capital city and is easily the fastest growing major city in Brazil. Our favourite, Salvador, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its focus on modern architecture, and is home to a plethora of wonderfully preserved 16th and 17th century buildings. This adds an historical layer to the creative music vibe and impressive cuisine culture that continues to attract more visitors to Salvador each year.

Lastly but definitely not least, Rio is the world ' s most exhilarating city, even when Rio Carnival is not in its full riotous swing. Its breath-taking harbour, stretches of beaches( including the legendary sands of Copacabana) stunning architecture from baroque times to a lively Art Deco and nightlife that carries on until dawn, all merging to create an intoxicating mix. We must all try Rio once in our lifetime.
