If you’re heading to Niue on holiday, chances are you’re the kind of

In fact, ‘Matavai’ means eye on the water (mata - eye, vai - water),
and it’s an appropriate name for this wonderful clifftop resort with its
sweeping Pacific panorama. Scenic Matavai Resort Niue comprises three
properties and has a wide range of room types on offer.
Scenic Matavai Resort Niue - Ocean View Room
Both the 3-star studio apartments and the villa are located a 5 minute
drive away from the main resort itself. The studios offer good value
for money with magnificent ocean views. There are five duplex units,
each divided into two spacious studios. Large private balconies make
the most of the views and all rooms are well equipped with a kitchen
for self-catering. Other on-site facilities include a freshwater swimming
pool, trampoline, a BBQ area and access to a sea-track. The villa is
situated adjacent to the studios and this super spacious home away from
home offers all sorts of holiday options for families or groups. It has a
garden setting, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen plus a
BBQ and al fresco dining deck.
The 4-star resort features the gorgeous, newly built Superior Rooms.
Alternatively, choose a recently refurbished Ocean Room, both come
with private balconies, air conditioning and super-sized beds. There are
12 new deluxe guest rooms planned to open in July 2017. These rooms
will be contained in a new block and feature some subtle differences
in style and comfort to the Superior rooms. The reef with its pools,
breakers and intriguing sea tracks lies just below the resort, and the
entire place was planned to merge unobtrusively into the unique
surroundings. The resort has an excellent restaurant and two bars with
live entertainment and cultural shows to keep you entertained.
