Nadi, Sun Coast & Suva
At the northern tip of Viti Levu is
Fiji’s Sun Coast. The scenic drive up
the coast takes about a 2.5 hour drive
from Nadi Airport passing sugar cane
fields, green pastoral land and the
Market towns of Ba and Rakiraki.
Travelling the Sun Coast is a great
way to experience Fiji’s rich and
diverse culture.

Day 1: Nadi
On arrival into Nadi, make your way to your hotel or if time allows head
into Nadi for a look around. This multi-cultural town is the main hub and
offers great places to eat, drink and shop.
Day 2: Nadi – Rakiraki (118km)
The Sun Coast stretches along the northern shore of Viti Levu and
delivers some of the most picturesque scenery. It offers many points of
interest and scenic highlights along the way, including several historic
sights including Viseisei Villlage on Vuda Point between Nadi and
Lautoka, considered by some to be the beginning of the Fijjian race and
also home of the Tui Vuda, the high chief of the area. On-route you’ll
take in the towns of Lautoka – known as the Sugar City because of its
sugar cane belt areas, Ba and Tavua, before reaching your beautiful
overnight destination of Rakiraki.
Day 3: Rakiraki – Suva (159km)
Departing Rakiraki, make a stop at Takalana Bay Retreat 35 kilometres
north west of Korovou to watch the captivating spinner dolphins found
only at Moon Reef, a 20 minute boat ride away. Continuing your drive
south, you’ll pass thorough many villages and towns. Arriving at Suva
you can explore the bustling and highly multicultural modern city.
Suva offers parks, gardens, museums, outdoor activities and a vibrant
nightlife.
