Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic highway on your coach trip to
Denali. See the wildlife of Denali National Park and learn about the
park’s history. Then experience the Alaskan Railroad on your train
journey to Fairbanks. View glaciers, wildlife and spectacular scenery on this unique journey
through Alaska. Enjoy some once in a lifetime experiences at Redoubt
Bay, Girdwood, Kenai Fjords and Denali National Park.
Day 1: Anchorage – Denali Backcountry Lodge
On your way to the Denali National Park your driver will give you some
history of the area as you travel the George Parks Highway. After lunch
hop on the private bus which will take you to Denali Backcountry Lodge,
your home for the night. The six hour trip along a restricted road is
called one of the grandest drives on earth, with chances to see grizzlies
and moose along the way. Day 1: Anchorage
Day 2: Denali National Park
Nestled in a snug valley, the Denali Backcountry Lodge is a true
wilderness experience. Spend the day hiking, gold panning and enjoying
the scenery of Denali National Park. You can also visit Fannie Quigley’s
Cabin, home of one of the original miners from the early twentieth
century. Day 4: Girdwood – Seward
Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre and, if time allows, Exit Glacier.
Day 3: Denali Backcountry Lodge – Fairbanks
An early departure gives you another opportunity to view the
magnificent scenery along the route back to the Denali National Park
entrance. This afternoon, board the Denali Star Train to Fairbanks where
you can enjoy the late afternoon scenery along the way. Day 7: Talkeetna – Denali National Park Entrance
Take a journey on the Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park. Then optional
activities such as white water rafting, helicopter flightseeing or landing on a
glacier are available.
Day 2: Anchorage – Redoubt Bay – Anchorage
Half day guided tour with the chance to view Alaska’s black and brown
bears.
Day 3: Anchorage – Girdwood
Experience a helicopter ride, a glacier landing and dog sledding.
Day 5: Northwestern Fjord Cruise
Full day Kenai Fjords Cruise and visit the magnificent Northwestern Fjord.
Day 6: Seward – Talkeetna
Day 8: Denali National Park Backcountry Adventure
Discover Denali National Park and search for a bear, moose and other
wildlife.
Day 9: Denali National Park Entrance – Fairbanks
This afternoon enjoy your trip north on the Alaska Railroad to Fairbanks.
