hile that pretty aptly describes the
current new car climate, it could
also describe the camaraderie at
the EOCS (Evolution Owner Club Singapore), a
group of friends whose common interests run far
deeper than a shared passion for the Mitsubishi
Lancer Evolution 10.
Speaking with the members there, we learnt
that the group started out as online friends
on a MItsubishi Lancer Evolution forum who
eventually decided to meet up in real life. EOCS
pulled off that one successful meet-up, and
the rest was, as we say, history. Currently, the
group holds weekly meets on Fridays, with
meet-ups largely centering around just getting
together for conversation over a good meal or

been larger scale events held before, such as
overseas track day sessions The club is not

Victor, who works in the F&B industry has fitted his SST-equipped
Evo X fitted with a custom bonnet and Varis front spoiler lip, along
with 18-inch Rota wheels. The modifications under the hood are

also professing to offer each other help in areas
such as where to go for car maintenance,
worthy aftermarket accessories to install on their
cars, and troubleshooting problems.
Now let us take a look at the cars we saw at the
meet. Modified both internally and externally to
varying extents, the diverse nature of the cars
probably reflect best the varying natures of their
owners, and group members.
Firefighter Acit’s white Evo X is fitted with side skirts and C-West
front bumper, Rota 18-inch wheels spray painted a striking
shade of orange! The car also installed a K&N air filter and HKS
blow-off valve, ARK twin plate clutch to cope with the added
power, while HKS Hypermax coilovers help keep the car planted.
