engine is certainly more pronounced, and oh yes, there is more
power coming out from it too. The upgraded engine is assisted
by reflashing the standard ECU, then wired to an A’PEXi
SAFC Neo air/fuel ratio controller, which in the hands of an
experienced tuner, will offer significant horsepower increases
and sharper throttle response from the engine.
To dress up the engine bay, the owner had replaced all the
standard rubber hoses with Samco silicone hoses and a
Carbing carbon fibre cover, which hide engine alternator and
air-conditioner compressor that for a boxer engine, is mounted
at the top.
Just as important, the suspension
The all-wheel-drive transmission system is kept standard with
the exception of the clutch, which has been replaced with a
Ogura Racing high performance item. As this is a STi spec
car, it came standard with the upgraded pink coloured shock
absorbers. Good it might be, but not good enough for the
owner. As such, this Subaru now sits on a set of HKS fully
adjustable shock absorbers that came complete with a pair
