HOTnews Anything-Everything Auto Culture Pioneer Launch Asia First Sludgenizer NV20 In Bangkok International Motor Show, Mr Hideaki Ishii, Managing Director of Pioneer Electronics Thailand highlighted their launch of its flagship car head unit AVH-X8750BT 2-DIN multimedia receiver. One of the first few units to support Apple Carplay and Android Auto (via a software update). Other new features include its dual camera input and ability to play most audio and video formats, including lossless FLAC audio and FLV video, a file format commonly used for internet video. In other aspects, the Pioneer AVH-X8750BT builds on the strength of its predecessor, the AVH-X8650BT, carrying over Pioneer’s time alignment feature, which compensates for the car’s cabin, as well as full fledged Bluetooth capbility. The result is a head unit that should appeal to audiophiles, tech lovers and audio installers alike. Forcusing on Pioneer’s commitment to the aftermarket scene was their decision to launch the unit in conjunction with one of Thailand’s top car audio installers, Rocket Sound. Originating from Japan, the Slugenizer NV20 uses wave pressure technology to send proprietary cleaning fluid around the engine, effectively removing engine sludge built up over the years and giving any car motor a new lease of life! Unlike the usual engine flush though, this can be done with the engine off, and the whole process is electronically controlled, taking only ten minutes or less. Mugen Debuts S660 Hot off the heels of the Honda S660 is Japanese tuner Mugen’s interpretation of the 660cc compact roadster. On the outside is a front spoiler lip, a choice of two side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. Buyers also have the option of a removable hard top, sports grille and aerodynamically sculpted front hood and rear engine cover. Inside, sports mats and carbon fibre or metallic interior trim, such as the gear knob or rearview mirror covers can be chosen, while aiding performance is a short shifter, sports exhaust system, a redesigned oil filter and a uprated braking kit. Alloy wheels are a big part of any modified car, so it would come as no surprise that Mugen would offer the choice of an 8-spoke design, with staggered rims measuring 15-inches front and 16-inches rear.
