I know how important your time is , which certainly requires me to deliver value for your time spent with the HOTELS brand . My raison d ’ être as editor has always been to give you takeaways to better help you do your job , provide ROIs to help you analyze ideas and offer thought leadership from industry champions .

We try to engage your professional curiosity here on the pages of HOTELS magazine , as well as online at hotelsmag . com . Today , it is online at our website and daily newsletter where I want to draw your attention .
It has not been lost on me that over the past 10 years or more , hotelsmag . com was not always easy to navigate . In middle August , however , under the new leadership of Outclick Media , we have revamped hotelsmag . com and our daily News & Views newsletter . The content is relatively similar – with perhaps an even greater emphasis on deals , investment and development – but the back end of the system and your user experience are vastly improved .
I think you will find the content succinct and useful . You will still find the highly curated daily news briefs , which have always proven popular , as well as our Wednesday People on the Move feature . Interviews and profiles are always original , insightful and personal . We always strive to break as much news as possible , analyzing some of the deals and moves of the day .
If you grew frustrated with the log-in process or anything else related to the user experience , I urge you to give the site another try . If you have feedback , I urge you to reach out to me directly with your questions and comments .
On the pages of this issue , we have a big focus on sales – both generally speaking and more particularly related

The Special Report tackles how to sell as guest priorities and habits evolve . Hotels are creating new campaigns that mirror guest sentiment today , while putting more emphasis on social media campaigns and digital coupons .
