This certification , awarded in November 2023 , reflects Mank ’ s commitment to sustainability , including efforts to reduce resource consumption , minimize waste and ensure employee well-being . EcoVadis evaluates companies on environmental , labor and ethical practices , using international standards like GRI and the UN Global Compact .
MELITTA JAPAN CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Melitta Japan , a major subsidiary of the Melitta Group , celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024 . The anniversary was marked with congratulations from Melitta Group leaders , including Jero Bentz , head of Melitta Group ; Günther Klatt , director corporate development ; and Marco Gottschalk , managing director of Melitta Professional . Melitta Japan offers coffee machines , filters and accessories for consumers , and its Melitta Professional division provides solutions for the out-ofhome market , including hospitality and quick service sectors . The company ’ s products include fully automatic coffee machines developed in Germany and supported by local technical services . Founded in Tokyo in 1974 , the company now employs 130 people across five locations .
EVERSYS EXPANDS SIERRE FACILITY
Eversys , a company specializing in coffee machine technology , has announced the expansion of its facility in Sierre , Switzerland . The expansion includes a growth in production and storage areas from 4,250 m 2 to 11,000 m 2 , improving manufacturing and logistics . The extended facility , now fully operational , will help Eversys meet increased demand and support future growth . The inauguration on June 20 , 2024 , was attended by local officials , De ’ Longhi board members , and partners , highlighting Eversys ’ commitment to advancing coffee machine technology .
