A SLEW OF MOVEMENT IN THE HOSPITALITY SECTOR HAS PEOPLE MOVING UP AND AROUND .
CHRISTIAN CLERC TAPPED AS NEW CEO OF AUBERGE RESORTS
Christian Clerc , who served as global president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts between 2016 and 2022 and later chaired DuPont Registry Group , a high-end automotive marketplace , will succeed Craig Reid as president and CEO of Auberge Resorts . Before assuming responsibility for global operations at Four Seasons , Clerc was president , EMEA , from 2014 until 2016 , overseeing the company ’ s operations in the region . Previously , he led the Hotel George V in Paris with regional responsibility for Southern Europe and held various GM and RVP positions throughout the Americas prior to that . Clerc ’ s appointment is effective September 1 , 2024 , and he will be based out of Auberge ’ s Bethesda , Md ., office .
PEACHTREE GROUP PROMOTES VICKY CALLAHAN
Peachtree Group has promoted Vickie Callahan to president of the firm ’ s hospitality management division . In her new role , Callahan will oversee the company ’ s portfolio of owned and third-party managed hotels , totaling 88 hotels across 27 brands and 11,173 rooms in 23 states and Washington , D . C .
A 25-plus-year hospitality veteran , Callahan previously held vice president of revenue management positions with Atrium Hospitality and JQH Hotels . At the latter , she was responsible for developing a multi-branded revenue management platform . Before that , she held various sales , marketing and revenue management executive committee positions with Starwood Hotels and Resorts . Callahan is also part of the Marriott Revenue Management Franchise Advisory Board .
HARD ROCK INTERNATIONAL PROMOTES FRANK CHESKY
Hard Rock International has promoted of Frank Chesky to executive vice president & chief legal officer .
Chesky has been practicing law for nearly 25 years , specializing in gaming law for the last 14 years . He joined Hard Rock in 2017 as the vice president and general counsel for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City , where he led the legal , compliance , regulatory and risk management functions . In 2021 , he was promoted to vice president and deputy general counsel , joining the Seminole Hard Rock Support Services team . He assumed the role of interim general counsel in 2023 .
MARRIOTT APPOINTS CALA COO
Marriott International has announced Federico Greppi as chief operations officer for Caribbean and Latin America ( CALA ). With a career in hospitality spanning over two decades , Greppi joined the industry in 2003 and has held various positions at Marriott ’ s Headquarters , the Americas and CALA divisions . Greppi ’ s most recent position was chief financial officer and head of franchise operations and owner relations of Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America . Before Marriott , he was a consultant at Andersen , a consulting and financial services company .
