Local market positioning : We offer breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne , high-quality food , authentic chefs and an uncommon kind of cuisine in the region of Lake Lucerne , as we are the only Middle Eastern restaurant crowned with Gault Millau points in the country ; we offer a shisha lounge with views of the lake as well .
What ’ s been tweaked since opening : We have put much effort into improving the quality of the staff in the kitchen and in the service by developing different kinds of trainings .
Most successful promotion : Sharq Panorama Dining has a set menu with Champagne aperitif and guaranteed window seat . Another package is the Orient Express at Sharq , with transfer from and to Lucerne by Bürgenstock Shuttle Boat and Bürgenstock Funicular , including a chef signature set menu with two or four courses for lunch and dinner .
Biggest operational challenges : Finding authentic chefs was a challenge since we seek to offer the most authentic dishes and tastes . We need a specialty chef for authentic bread , grill dishes , etc ., in operation regardless of the number of guests .
Future plans : Our goal is to be recognized as the number one Middle Eastern kitchen in Switzerland , and we are close to getting there .
Source of inspiration : Making our guests happy by offering them authenticity and quality combined with great service is what we seek , and this pushes us forward .
Where casual luxury is going : This trend will keep expanding ; we are very much aware of it and adjust accordingly . Guests are looking for authentic experiences while staying casual .
Advice for hoteliers : It is important to offer a special and unique concept that will not only fulfill the guests ’ expectations but also surprise them .
