KAECHELE CREATES MASSIVE

TABLECLOTH

When Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin needed a tablecloth that could serve 125 guests seated around a single table , it turned to Kaechele . Kaechele used white fabric made of cotton and polyester so it would not crease during the various stages of production and be easier to iron later . A traditional 100 % cotton Molton tablecloth underlay was included as part of the package . After just 70 hours of work , the company produced a 220-sq-m ( 2,368-sq-ft ) tablecloth and a 200- sq-m ( 2,153-sq-ft ) Molton underlay .
“ Twenty staff at the Adlon were needed to lay the Molton underlay and tablecloth ,” says Kaechele Managing Director Dieter Fiebelkorn . “ We also made napkins for all 125 guests embroidered with their initials and with buttonholes .”
