Staros , vice president and managing director of The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples , Florida , as an impressionable boy watched with joy as his father ran the family concessions business on Long Island , New York . “ I loved my father ’ s energy – he just had a work ethic like no other human being on the planet ,” Staros recalls . “ I have emulated that all my life .”
