The challenge for the newly opened Six Senses Zil Pasyon – the sole resort on the island – is how to compliment and complement Mother Nature . Fortunately , this comes as second nature to the brand , whose philosophy embraces the environment and social responsibility .
For its latest resort , the design concept is simply about “ the beauty of local nature ,” says Apiwat Anukularmphai , Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas ’ corporate creative and design director . “ Since the surrounding nature is so pure and pristine , we only need to take inspiration from around the island – the boulders , the sapphire color of the ocean , the flowers , the local culture and lifestyle – and translate it into the interior design of the resort ,” he says .
In designing the resort ’ s 30 pool villas , the key consideration was to blend them with the surroundings and marry outdoor and indoor seamlessly – a challenge
