NH , and we are working to identify the partner to work on that reform , which will start in the next 12 months . It will reflag as an NH . H : Where else do you see growth opportunities ? FGT : We are primarily European and think there are strong opportunities for further consolidation in Europe . In Italy , for example , we are the number one chain after Best Western , with 50 hotels and with so many independent hotels there is still a huge opportunity to grow the portfolio . And we ’ ve seen opportunities in Germany to grow beyond the 65 hotels we have there . There are opportunities in France where we only have three hotels , in particular in Paris , and London where we only have two hotels . Being in Paris and London with a greater presence could be important priorities for us .
If you look to Latin America , Mexico is a priority where we have 13 hotels doing very well , and we have been approached by investors to grow our footprint there . Colombia is an important economy and we have only one hotel , so we will explore how to do more . Chile and Peru are similar , and eventually Brazil in a given moment will come without rushing . H : How do you respond to rumors of NH being a takeover target ? FGT : Being a target is always great because that means someone finds more value than the value you show in the market . What I would like to be is a moving target — a target that keeps growing and improving . If someone wants to buy you that means you may have something to offer . But I think the company has a long way to go , a long way to grow and actually has a very solid plan .
