THAILAND ’ S MINOR HOTELS goes after Europe
MINOR HOTELS ’ LIFESTYLE AVANI BRAND , WHICH TARGETS MILLENNIAL-MINDED TRAVELERS , PLANS ON ADDING FIVE PROPERTIES IN EUROPE .

L ooking to capture guests who prioritize service , style and value , Thailand ’ s Minor Hotels has announced its European expansion strategy of its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand , which targets millennial-minded travelers .
Avani will expand into new regions and add five properties in key destinations in Europe — one each in Spain and Germany , two in Italy and next year , one in the Netherlands .
Alongside its expansion in Europe , Avani will also open properties in Central and South America , with hotels to be added in Colombia and Mexico .
Among the first few additions in Europe , Avani will open its inaugural property in Spain in June with the rebranded 101-key Avani Alonso Martinez Madrid Hotel .
In Italy , two hotels will be rebranded — the 65-key Avani Palazzo Moscova Milan Hotel in June and the 144-key Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel this summer .
In Germany , Avani will debut with the rebranded , 256-key Avani Frankfurt City Hotel .
Next year , Avani will enter into the Netherlands with the opening of a 163-room hotel in Amsterdam . The rebranded Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam Hotel is slated to open in Q2 2024 .
Avani is also gearing up to launch in Latin America , where two properties are being planned for later this year with two rebranded hotels . Regional operations will begin in one of Central America ’ s top tourist destinations , with the opening of the 140-room Avani Cancun Airport Hotel in Mexico in Q3 , followed by the launch of the 66- room Avani Royal Zona T Bogota Hotel in Colombia in Q4 .
The 144-room Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel will join the brand this summer after a conversion .
