VINGCARD ELSAFE AIMS TO ENABLE MOBILE BOOKING IN CARS
VingCard Elsafe has partnered with BMW Group on technology to enable drivers to book hotel rooms on the go and then access their guestrooms using their car keys . Employing BMW ’ s advanced vehicle navigation systems , drivers can conduct searches for available hotels nearby . Then , leveraging an interface with Micros-Fidelio hotel property management systems , drivers can book their hotel of choice . Once the reservation is booked , the vehicle navigation system guides the driver to the hotel and notifies him or her of the assigned room number . Upon arrival at the property , the guest can proceed straight to the room , and the BMW key communicates with the NFCenabled VingCard Elsafe lock to open the door . business deals . “ Positive feedback from show participants further testifies the tremendous success of FHA and WSA , and exhibitors are already scurrying
to secure their space for the next edition in 2014 ,” says Stephen Tan , chief executive of show organizer Singapore Exhibition Services .

MICROS INKS DEAL WITH B & B HÔTELS , EXPANDS IT CONSULTING
B & B Hôtels has selected technology from Micros Systems Inc . for all its hotels in Italy , Poland , Portugal and the Czech Republic after using Micros technology at its properties in Germany since 2009 . Micros-Fidelio will supply hotel management applications including Opera , myfidelio . net , mylink and Opera WebSuite immediately and will technically enable the B & B Hôtels expansion to selected European markets .
Micros also said a pilot Opera Optimization Audit has been completed successfully at the Carlton Oasis Hotel in the Netherlands via the new Micros Consulting Services . The Opera Optimization Audit analyzes if Opera functionality is being fully utilized to the benefit of hotel operations .
