DUDSON APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN
Hospitality tableware manufacturer Dudson appointed Martin McCourt its new chairman . McCourt , CEO of Dyson for 15 years , will replace Ian Dudson as he retires .
McCourt will help the eighth and ninth generations of the Dudson family with their company growth plans . Founded in 1800 , the company employs more than 400 people at its Stoke-on-Trent , U . K ., headquarters . McCourt has worked in British-based manufacturing for 40 years . As CEO of Dyson , he took the company from a single-product , single-market producer to an organization where 80 % of business comes from more than 60 markets around the world .
ASSA ABLOY MAKES NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LIST
National Geographic magazine listed VingCard , Assa Abloy ’ s programmable keycard , one of seven inventions that changed how people travel . Tor Sørnes , a Norwegian inventor , developed the keycard , which was first used outside of Norway in 1978 at the Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta , Georgia . The organizers of Host 2017 announced new partnerships with six North American associations , which will join the show , to be held in Milan October 20-24 , 2017 . The associations are the American Society of Interior Designers , Interior Designers of Canada , NEWH - The Hospitality Industry Network , Baking Association of Canada , Specialty Coffee Association and NYC
BULK TV ON BEST EMPLOYERS LIST
Bulk TV & Internet was named one of the 2017 Best Employers in North Carolina . The list includes 35 companies from various industries . Bulk TV ranked 10th in the Small-Medium Companies category , which represents companies with 15 to 249 U . S . employees .
Hospitality Alliance . Organizers hope to further increase the presence of decision makers from the growing North American market . According to show statistics , the presence of exhibitors from the U . S . at the last Host show marked a 26 % increase compared with 2013 and a 51 % increase from 2011 . Visitors rose 35 % and 46 %, respectively , in the same years .
The survey and awards program , designed to identify and honor the state ’ s best employers . The program was created by Business North Carolina , NC Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group . This is the fifth consecutive year that Bulk TV has been included on the list .
