KABA ANNOUNCES NEW INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS

Kaba has partnered with hetras on a mobile key access solution for Village Hotels . The Village Hotel Glasgow , in Scotland , went live with Kaba-hetras mobile access in October 2015 and plans to complete a rollout to all its properties in 2016 .

Kaba also announced a cooperative development agreement with Intelity that enables the companies to combine their technologies to make mobile key access more available to a wide range of hotels .

In September 2015 , Kaba finalized its merger with DORMA , forming the dorma + kaba Group .

ERCUIS AND RAYNAUD JOIN SAMBONET

Sambonet Paderno Industrie S . p . A took over Ercuis , a French silverware company established in 1867 . The firm now also is majority shareholder of Raynaud , a porcelain manufacturer founded in Limoges , France , in 1849 . The agreement involves a 100 % stake in Ercuis , which retains a 55.25 % stake in Raynaud . The purchase price wasn ’ t disclosed , and Raynaud family members hold the remaining capital . The Italian group now operates through the brands Sambonet , Rosenthal , Rosenthal meets Versace , Paderno , Arthur Krupp , Arzberg , Thomas and Hutschenreuther .

HOTEL TECHNOLOGIES UNVEILS PATENTED ALARM CLOCK

Hotel Technologies unveiled an iHome branded alarm clock , the patented LCD Triple Display Alarm Clock . The clock , which was introduced at HX : The Hotel Experience : Rooms to Restaurants in New York City in November 2015 , shows pre-set time on the front , left and right sides of its cabinet and has dual USB ports to charge mobile devices . The company says the clock is ideal for double-occupancy rooms because either guest can see the time from bed . It also features individual dimmers that adjust to eight levels of brightness .

SERENATA GROWS ITS TEAM

Global CRM operator Serenata brought 10 new team members on board to support its global presence . Munich , Germany-based Serenata recently established a satellite branch in California .

Serenata ’ s goal is to approach its global clients individually , according to the company . “ Striving to achieve those expectations led us to fine-tune and reorganize our internal workforce , thereby enabling us to better and more effortlessly manage our clients ,” says Michael Schäffner , director , sales and market , Serenata IntraWare .
