Phum Baitang ’ s spa design was inspired by the temples of Angkor Wat .
The spa includes five single and two double treatment rooms , a sauna , steam room , relaxation area , yoga pavilion and fitness room .
The reception area opens up to rice fields and gardens .
“ The feeling of space and nature is very strong ,” adds Reda Amalou , founder and partner at AW ², the resort ’ s architect and interior designer . “ We had to re-interpret all of these elements into our own language . We were not trying to imitate but rather integrate into a luxury resort environment .”
All of the freestanding guest accommodations feature high ceilings with large glass doors that aim to provide guests with a strong connection to the resort ’ s natural setting . The main villa space opens to a
