BEDDING PROTECTION COMPANY SETS UP NEW HQ

Protect-A-Bed has moved its U . S . headquarters to a new office and warehouse in Wheeling , Illinois .
The new facility includes 20,000 sq ft ( 1,858 sq m ) of office space and 200,000 sq ft ( 18,581 sq m ) of warehouse space — a significant increase over Protect-A-Bed ’ s previous 31,000 sq ft ( 2,880 sq m ).
“ Our company is quickly expanding , so we are moving to a much larger space to accommodate our growing customer needs ,” says James Bell , CEO of Protect-A-Bed . “ Protect-A-Bed is on track to grow 35 % over last year . Our new facility will help perpetuate our continual growth pattern and poise us for accelerated growth .”

Cintas Corp . has released a new complimentary white paper for hotels with information on the benefits of deep cleaning .
“ Tile , carpeting and A / C units undergo a lot of wear and tear and are significantly expensive to replace ,” says Todd McKeown , Cintas vice president of hospitality . “ The white paper explains how hotel operators can restore these assets to ‘ like new ’ condition through deep cleaning , which delays costly replacement projects and has numerous benefits for the hotel and guests .”
The white paper , titled “ The Cycle of Clean ,” cites a recent study that found a 28 % air flow increase following deep cleaning of A / C units in 20 casino hotel rooms — along with a 31 % drop in energy consumption .

Trade show to focus on international expansion
Alimentaria will take place in Barcelona March 26-29 . This year marks the first four-day iteration of the food and drink exhibition , which will focus on competitiveness , international expansion and brands . This year ’ s show will have two new halls .
More than 4,000 exhibitors are expected to attend , along with 150,000 buyers . In all , the show anticipates 1,300 companies from 75 countries .
Asia will play a larger role in this year ’ s show , with China almost doubling its exhibition space . Japan , Thailand and Vietnam are among the home countries of new institutional participants in the expo .
Italian show sees higher numbers
Host 2011 in Milan welcomed 125,000 people in October , with 34 % of attendees from other countries . That figure marks a 19 % jump in foreign attendance over the last Host event . China and Russia have both doubled attendance , while Spain , Germany , France , Switzerland , Turkey , the Netherlands , England , and the United States were the most active markets . The event also set a world record for the number of espresso coffees served in an hour : 623 .
Host was scheduled to take place in Mumbai January 19-21 under the name of Food Hospitality World . Other events will take place in Guangzhou , China , from November 29 to December 1 and in São Paulo , Brazil , from March 25-27 .
