Assa Abloy Hospitality was recognized in the 2018 HotelTechAwards as the Top Rated Keyless Entry Provider for its Mobile Access digital key solution . The HotelTechAwards are hosted by Hotel Tech Report and highlight hotel technology vendors based on customer feedback . The Assa Abloy Hospitality keyless entry technology allows guests and staff to enter certain areas of a hotel , including guestrooms , by swiping their mobile devices . The system operates through secure Seos technology , allowing guests to bypass the front desk . Through BLE technology , Mobile Access delivers a digitally encrypted key directly to a guest ’ s smartphone .
VILLEROY & BOCH CELEBRATES 270 YEARS
Founded in 1748 , ceramic producers and lifestyle brand Villeroy & Boch celebrates its 270th anniversary this year . François Boch and his three
Villeroy & Boch marks 270 years in business . sons began producing ceramic tableware in Audun-le-Tiche in Lorraine , France , in 1748 . In 1809 , Jean- François Boch converted a former abbey in Mettlach into a highly mechanized tableware production operation . Meanwhile , in 1791 , Nicolas Villeroy became a shareholder of an earthenware factory and was one of the first people to use coal as a fuel for ceramic production .
Villeroy and Boch merged in 1836 . The partnership between the families withstood two World Wars and now has 7,500 employees and is active in 125 countries .
ARC CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARIES IN 2018
French tableware manufacturer Arc plans to celebrate several significant milestones in 2018 . The company plans competitions , social network events , promotional deals and the re-release or reinterpretation of iconic products in limited series , as well as new product launches .
