AMBIENTE 2017 UPS ATTENDANCE

Ambient 2017 increased its number of buyer attendees by almost 4 %, according to Messe Frankfurt . Held from February 10 to 14 , 2017 , in Frankfurt , Germany , the show featured 4,454 exhibitors from 96 countries . More than half of all visitors came from outside Germany and the percentage of international exhibitors reached a record 80 %.
More than 3,000 visitors attended from the United Kingdom , this year ’ s partner country . Ambiente will spotlight Dutch design at next year ’ s show , which will take place from February 9 to 13 , 2018 .
ALTO-SHAAM DEBUTS NEW OVEN AT NAFEM
Alto-Shaam introduced its Vector Series Multi-Cook Oven at the The NAFEM Show held in February in Orlando , Florida . The oven offers two , three or four ovens in one , the flexibility to simultaneously cook multiple dishes without flavor transfer and the company ’ s Structured Air Technology for even cooking .
Alto-Shaam also announced Brian Jahnke as its new vice president of business development for Europe . Jahnke will create and implement strategies to provide support to Alto-Shaam ’ s international accounts .
DIVERSEY CARE LAUNCHES AUTO SCRUBBER SERIES
Diversey Care developed a series of auto scrubbers designed for environments with heavy foot traffic . The TASKI swingo XD series includes both a 26-inch ( 66-centimeter ) and a 32-inch ( 81-centimeter ) machine . TASKI Intelliflow technology , which delivers the proper fluid onto the floor , is designed to reduce operating costs . The TASKI IntelliTrail is a cloud-based fleet management system that limits downtime and ownership costs , according to the company .
“ With the ability to remotely track assets , effective water pickup and simple controls , we believe this new TASKI series will far exceed our customers ’ cleaning requirements ,” says Jan Willem Tinge , global vice president – facilities and machines , Diversey Care .
ONEIDA GROUP TAKES NEW STRATEGIC DIRECTION
After announcing a corporate rebranding , The Oneida Group released new details about its strategic direction , which eliminates its silo-oriented business structure and centralizes operations . Oneida is developing an integrated marketing and innovation function to deliver products to end users , creating a design and innovation center and promoting a “ one company ” culture focused on market needs . Oneida also recently partnered with Stolzle to create a new glassware collection of three cocktail glasses that are modern takes on vintage designs . The glasses are made of lead-free clear crystal glass .
