Mady is known for his ability to inspireemployees , manage crisis , resolve conflict and keep teams in sync . He is a leadership author and speaker whose strategies have been covered in the Harvard Business Review and Forbes .
Since 2011 , Mady has led operations for the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel – a Dorchester Collection property , as well as overseen operations at the nearby Hotel Bel-Air . He has worked with Dorchester Collection since June 2009 , when he served as GM of The New York Palace .
Mady spent two decades with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co ., serving most recently as vice president and area general manager overseeing five Ritz- Carlton hotels and playing a pivotal role in the company ’ s capture of two Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards .
Mady also worked for Helmsley Hotels , Four Seasons and Fairmont . His career began in 1974 as night chef at Château Lake Louise in Alberta , Canada .

Since 2012 , Wood has overseen operations of this luxury boutique hotel and has the distinction of being responsible for four hotels and three restaurants that reached 5-star or 5-diamond status , and , at some locations , both .
Originally from Coventry , England , he started his career at luxury hotels in London and Paris . He forged his career in North America in the late 1970s and has held senior management positions with Four Seasons Hotels , Jack Nicklaus ’ Golden Bear International , Rosewood Hotels , Orient Express Hotels and Forte ’ s Exclusive Hotels of the World . Wood has also been president and shareholder in The Garrett Hotel Group , which specialized in small , historic “ Super Luxury ” properties such as The Point and Lake Placid Lodge .
In 2007 , Wood and two partners created Arden Grove Hospitality , dedicated to operating distinctive small luxury hotels such as Hawaii ’ s Hotel Hana-Maui , and as owners ’ representative for the Rosewood San Miguel de Allende in Mexico .
Wood has also served on the boards of Relais & Châteaux North America and Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide .
