The property, which is situated in one of the most popular tourist destinations in west Wales, is now under the ownership of Mr and Mrs Dave Griffiths. The couple relocated from Kent in search of a lifestyle change. Former owners Mr and Mrs Mark Bowles have owned the Woodlands since 2004 and sold it to go into semi-retirement. The sale was advised by Christie and Co. Corrina Jones, business agent in Christie and Co’s Cardiff office, said: “We wish Mr and Mrs Bowles all the best with their future plans and believe that The Woodlands Hotel offers a fantastic opportunity for the buyers to develop. “Saundersfoot is undergoing an exciting regeneration and is one of the top tourist locations in West Wales so this is an excellent opportunity and we wish the new owners all the best with their new venture.” The four-minute video was made in association with the Foreign Office and ABTA and depicts an incident at a hotel, describing how to stay safe in such an event. August 2017 2 3 4 5 6 TECH GIANT Facebook to build its own hotel in new ‘village’ Facebook has unveiled plans to build its own California ‘village’ complete with social housing, retail stores and a hotel, according to the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The video description states that while the chances of being in a terror attack “remain extremely rare”, the new approach encourages everyone to be prepared “should the worst happen”. The Run, Hide, Tell message was first introduced in 2015 following the terror attacks in Paris in December. It has now been re-issued by the police in answer to the incident at London Borough Market. The video advises: Run n If there is a safe route, run n Insist others go with you, but do not let their indecision slow you down n Leave belongings behind Hide n If you cannot run, hide n Be aware of your exits n Find cover from gunfire n Try not to get trapped Tell n Call the police when it is safe (112 for the EU) Our goal for the TERRORISM 1 Willow Campus is to create an integrated, mixed-use village that will provide much needed services, housing and transit solutions as well as office space Facebook blogger It will be located in a corporate campus at Menlo Park, California which Facebook bought in 2015 for roughly $400m (£309m). There are also plans to build 1,500 new homes at the development which is opposite the social media giant’s headquarters. It will primarily be for the use and dwelling of Facebook’s employees, who mostly live near the campus. In a blogpost, Facebook wrote: “Our goal for the Willow Campus is to create an integrated, mixed-use village that will provide much needed services, housing and transit solutions as well as office space. “Part of our vision is to create a neighborhood centre that provides long-needed community services.” The review process of the development is expected to last two years with “grocery, retail, housing and office completed in early 2021”. The post went on the say that “subsequent phases will take two years each to complete”.
