Small Luxury
Hotels of the
World appoints
new CEO
London-based hotel consortium Small
Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has
appointed Jean-François Ferret as its
new CEO.
Ferret will
commence
his duties in
September,
replacing Filip
Boyen, who has been the group’s
CEO since October 2015. He will be
responsible for SLH’s international teams
in addition to leading strategic direction
of the brand’s luxury portfolio of more
than 500 independent hotels worldwide.
He has previously worked in several
leadership positions as the CEO at the
French association Relais & Châteaux
for more than six years, the director
general of Hertz France and the
managing director and president of
Manpower France.
Ferret, who has 30 years’ experience
in the industry, has held travel and
hospitality positions in France as deputy
managing director of American Express
Travel, managing director of Thomas
Cook, senior VP of Thomas Cook in West
Europe, and CFO of Compass Group.
Ferret said: “Small Luxury Hotels
of the World has gone through
significant change in the last few
years and I look forward to leading the
talented international teams in further
strengthening the brands operations
and global footprint.”

Accor announces
revenue of €1.5bn
for H1 2018
AccorHotels has seen its revenue
for the first half of 2018 almost reach
€1.5bn (£1.3bn) following a year of
“deep-seated transformation”.
Accor reported revenue of €1,459m,
up 8% like-for-like when compared
with the same period last year.
The group attributed the increase to
changes in the scope of consolidation
(acquisitions and disposals) and the
positive contribution of €42m (£37m)
