A HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY SURPRISE FOR THE
HOTEL’S LONG(EST) STAYING GUEST
Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, 20
March 2015 – Amari Hua Hin threw
a surprise 90th birthday celebration
for its longest staying guest, Norman
Symonds (third from left). The surprise
was delivered by Christoph Leonhard,
General Manager of Amari Hua Hin (first
from left). Mr Symonds is a returning
guest since the hotel opened in 2012, and
currently on a four-month-stay at the
property.
The celebration began with a private
breakfast at Reef Deli & Wine Lounge.
Joining Mr Symonds on this very
special occasion were his partner,
Marina Timperley (fourth from left),
granddaughters Marie and Emma
Symonds (second and fifth from left),
and Jamie Morrissoe (first from right),
all of whom especially flew
in from the UK for the day.
Highlight of the breakfast was
the presentation of the birthday
cake, especially created
by Pastry Chef Chutiwat.
Knowing that Mr Symonds has
a passion for fishing and that
he used to work in the timber
industry, the cake boast a
fishing rod catching a big fish,
next to a log of wood. “This
cake is a work of art, too beautiful to
be eaten”, said Mr Symonds. But after
pictures were taken and he learned that
the cake was his favourite – chocolate. He
was the first to finish a generous slice. At
night, the celebrations continued at Reef
Deli & Wine Lounge with a traditional
British dinner, including roast beef and
Yorkshire pudding, together with friends
and family.
