Spam (yes, Spam!)
A new spam-infused cocktail called the Spamarita has been created by
the Soho-based, Korean fusion restaurant, Jinjuu.
Spam has been a store-cupboard staple since wartime and considered
a budget lunchbox item or a running Monty Python joke in the UK.
However, in South Korean it is considered a luxury item and one of
the nation’s favourite products - the country is now the biggest
Spam consumer outside of the US.
As part of a new cocktail menu, Jinjuu have created the
Spamarita “in celebration of this premium product”. Made from
Spam-infused Ocho tequila, mezcal, agave nectar, pineapple &
fresh lime served over ice in a spam container, the restaurant
claim this cocktail is “delighting customers with it’s
originality”. There’s no accounting for taste…
