CASUALTY ACCIDENT &
EMERGENCY CENTRE SERVICES
(A&E)
The M.P. Shah Hospital Casualty Accident & Emergency Centre provides services 24 hours a day 7
days a week. It serves as an A&E Department, Out-Patient Department and as entry point for all the
admission cases.
A well laid out emergency preparedness plan coupled with well-equipped staff has enab led the
Centre to handle mass accidents, acute cardio-respiratory problems, advanced trauma, gunshots,
disaster management, poisons and cases like malaria, pneumonia, typhoid fever, non-communicable
and communicable diseases and many others.
The A&E Department comprises of motivated team of doctors, nurses, technicians and other para
health professionals well skilled in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and trauma life
support for adults, children and babies. Doctors and nurses undergo regular training to ensure their
skills and knowledge is up to date.
The hospital’s A&E Department also consists of Resuscitation Room, Dressing Room, Plaster Room,
Examination Room and Observation Rooms.
MEDICAL TRAUMA
The M.P. Shah Hospital ensures that any patients requiring urgent medical attention are given
treatment even though the patients may not be able to pay for it at the time.
Our resident Maxillofacial surgeon handles the treatment of facial fractures including orbital fractures,
lacerations, craniofacial trauma and post traumatic deformity. Our oral and maxillofacial surgery
department is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, face
and neck.
