Enjoy a change of pace at Shimoda, a pleasant
coastal city in the south Izu Peninsula aptly nicknamed
“The Waikiki of Japan.” Stay the night at Shimoda
Prince Hotel for direct access to Shirahama Beach —
one of Izu’s most famous and popular destinations.
Bask in the sun or walk along the long stretch of white
sand. More active beach goers can swim or surf in the
spectacular blue waters.
Visit Shirahama Jinja — a beautiful Shinto shrine
