Betty Schaberg and her husband, Terry, faithfully served for 16 years at the OMS World Headquarters beginning in 1976. Betty served as the food services coordinator and worked in the Communications Department as a photography lab technician and part-time writer. After completing their time with OMS in 1993, the Schabergs moved to Washington state, where they remained active in their church for decades.
Diana Vermillion served with OMS for nearly 18 years. OMS missionaries introduced Diana and her husband, Bill, to the organization. The Vermillions served on short-term missions with OMS in Asia / Oceania and Russia. Beginning in 2000, they served in Russia for three years. While there, Diana taught a health class at Russian American Christian University and participated in several medical mission trips. After returning to the U. S., Diana often traveled with Bill to seminaries and Bible schools around the OMS world, teaching pastoral counseling and facilitating marriage seminars.
Cynthiana( Cindy) Williamson served with OMS for 56 years as secretary to 16 OMS executives. Inspired by OMS publications in her home, she joined OMS and relocated with the headquarters from Los Angeles to Greenwood, Indiana, in 1966. In addition to her official duties at OMS, Cindy knew many details about OMS history. When someone had a question about OMS’ past, she probably knew the answer. She was also active in her church, teaching and leading youth programs. She retired in 2009 at the age of 80.
